Cafe Sol is located on the first corner as you enter the bustling nightlife centre of Barbados; St. Lawrence Gap. Now in it's 25th year, Cafe Sol is one of the most popular and well-established restaurants on the island!

In St. Lawrence Gap (or "The Gap" as it's also known) you'll find a wide variety of dining options as well as fantastic beaches and some great hotels, all of which offer convenient location from which to explore the nightlife offerings of The Gap on foot.Our next door neighbour, The Yellow Bird Hotel offers incredible ocean views across St. Lawrence Bay and a central Gap location that's hard to beat!

Stop in for lunch or dinner or just a snack on the patio overlooking St. Lawrence Bay. Our margaritas are famous and we offer a huge margarita list and have recently created one of the most extensive mojito menus in Barbados.

Fodors- Have a hankerin' for good Tex-Mex food? Enjoy nachos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, and taquitos in this Mexican bar and grill at the entrance to busy St. Lawrence Gap. Or choose a burger, mojito chicken, or flame-grilled steak from the gringo menu. Helpings of rice and beans, a Corona, and plenty of jalapeño peppers, guacamole, and salsa give everything a Mexican touch. Some people come just for the margaritas—15 fruity varieties rimmed with Bajan sugar instead of salt. With two happy hours every night, this place gets really busy, and reservations are accepted only for parties of four or more.

 

USA TODAY 10 Best- This festive Tex-Mex spot serves all of your favorites, from nachos to burritos, plus a good selection of steaks and burgers. But they also offer up terrific margaritas, about 15 different flavors, rimmed with Bajan sugar instead of salt. Plan to arrive in time to take advantage of one of their two happy hours (5pm-6pm and 10pm-11pm).

 

AOL Travel- This restaurant is known for having the best Tex-Mex cuisine on the island. Bring the family to dine inexpensively or hit the bar for tequila-heavy cocktails. Tacos, taquitos, burritos and tostadas along with spicy beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetables, or order a combination. The open-air dining area, festively adorned walls and incredible margaritas attract an exuberant clientele. At night the bar is popular and the restaurant features live music on weekends.
